I’m hungry for submissions that express big ideas and feelings with beautiful language, humor, and vulnerability. I want stories that readers will carry with them long after reading. I am especially interested in submissions from creators of marginalized identities.
picture books
I’m looking for weird, irreverent stories, especially about rule-breaking, misbehaving, general mischief, and sinister oddities. The weirder the better!
middle grade
In general, I’d love to see supernatural elements, high stakes, and lots of emotion. More specifically, here are a few things I’m eager to find:
- gothic mysteries in whimsical settings
- cozy fantasy adventures
- tender coming-of-age tales
- speculative fiction exploring difficult truths
- stories about make-believe games turned real
young adult
