Hello! I am a Senior Editor at Entangled Publishing with experience editing on all of Entangled’s imprints and working with a variety of different authors, from debuts to bestsellers.
What I’m Actively Looking For
I’m seeking high-concept commercial fiction with a strong emotional engine and clear narrative propulsion. I’m particularly interested in projects that combine commercial readability with emotional depth, authenticity, and moral complexity.
I edit adult and YA. Genres I tend to lean toward right now are fantasy and contemporary of all kinds, but I’m open to any genre. I’m also seeking queer romance and diversity of any kind.
IN GENERAL, across genres and imprints, I’m looking for:
- Clean, pitchable hooks that can be articulated in one sentence.
- Strong romantic conflict woven into the main plot.
- Active protagonists who make difficult choices.
- Clear stakes and escalating consequences.
- Distinct, engaging voice with immediacy.
- Worlds that feel immersive but not overcrowded.
- A conceptual twist that reframes the genre.
The main question I’m asking myself as I read any submission is:
Does this story create urgency that makes it impossible to put down?
