We hope you and yours are doing well–and that you’ll join us for our FREE live workshop Tuesday, May 12, at 8:00 p.m EDT/5:00 p.m PDT.
In this evening with writing and theater teacher Chip Brewer, we’ll explore how your characters exist in the physical realm–how they take up space, how this shows us their role in the world, and how this relates to all of the millions of tiny moments that make them who they are.
Then we’ll move to their interiors–how their thoughts collide and personalities flourish–and how secrets, relationships, and feelings create your book’s emotional landscape.
With wit, humor, and a lot of laughter, this workshop will explore how these seemingly small details make meaning in the greater world you’re creating.
Bring a pen, paper, and the beverage of your choice. We’ll write together and (this is optional!) share our work.
Please note that this is open to all genres, and even though it’s called Improv For Writers, you do not need to be a (past or present) theater person to enjoy it. 🙂 We promise not to call you up on stage or insist you say “Yes, and.”
This event is 100% introvert-friendly.
Hope to see you there!
All best,
Jessica and Julie
