My Manuscript Wish List®

I am currently building a diverse list of authors and illustrators. I represent picture books (by referral only), middle grade, young adult, and adult genre fiction. No matter the genre or age group, I am looking for books that make feel (whether it’s laugh or cry or both!), distinctive voices, and character-driven stories that revolve around tough issues.
Illustrators:
Creators that illustrate any age group from picture book, middle grade, young adult, and graphic novels.
Middle Grade:
I am looking for high concept MG with a strong hook. While I love adventurous, smart, out-of-the-box characters with schemes, friends, family, living and processing through a life crisis, I am also drawn to quiet characters and quiet topics like a first crush. Send me books on friend breakups, frenemies, or enemies. I love to laugh and cry while I fall in love with the characters.
- Contemporary
- Paranormal/Fantasy — ghosts, witches, fresh mythology
- Horror — scary or spooky, but not bloody
- Mystery
- Graphic novel
Young Adult:
I am on looking for unique concepts or a fresh twist on classic tropes. High concept YA with a strong hook.
- Snort-worthy romantic comedy (this is at the top of my MSWL!)
- Feel-good contemporaries or contemporaries that represent real-world issues
- Contemporary romance (love tropes!)
- Stories with light magical elements
- Paranormal with a strong romantic thread. Give me a twist on ghosts and witches.
- Mystery
- Horror – prefer scary versus bloody
- Graphic novel
Adult Fiction:
I am looking for out-of-the-ordinary plots with engaging and realistic characters trying to navigate the adult world.
Genres:
- High concept Romance and Women’s Fiction — contemporary and paranormal
- Romance with a fresh twist on trope-driven plots. Sweet to spicy.
- Gut-busting RomComs
- Fresh cozy mysteries (think outside-the-box amateur sleuths)

Fun facts about me:
- I first met my husband during an interview. He was a hockey player and I was working for a daily newspaper in the sports department. A decade later we got married.
- I am the mom of three boys and two pups. Blue is a chocolate lab and Sniper is a Labrador retriever.
- My favorite colour is blue.
- My zodiac sign is Scorpio.
- I gave up caffeine in January 2020, but I still enjoy coffee and tea—decaffeinated of course.
- I have an addiction to Bubly sparkling water and Maltesers.
