Cassidy M. Graham

The Open Field / Penguin Life

My Manuscript Wish List®

Cassidy Graham acquires empowering and prescriptive nonfiction for The Open Field and Penguin Life, imprints of Viking Penguin, in categories such as body/mind/spirit, health, inspiration, psychology, creativity, and women’s issues.

She has a particular interest in women’s health and grounded, holistic self-help for women. One of her favorite books she’s edited that embodies these topics is Almost 30 by Lindsey Simcik and Krista Williams.

She loves anything to do with nutrition, longevity, disease prevention and management, functional and traditional medicine, mental health, and psychology.

  • Books like: How Not to Die, Beyond the Pill, The Mind-Gut Connection, and Attached.

She is also looking for books that cover inspiration and spirituality, personal development and individuation, creativity, love and romance, healthy relationships, and energy work.

  • Books like: The Courage to be Disliked, How to Be an Adult in Relationships, The Creative Act, and The Heroine’s Journey.

Lastly, she is a fan of metaphysical topics interwoven with broader themes.

  • Books such as: Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom, You Were Born for This, and Life Before Life.

Cassidy previously worked on fiction and nonfiction books at St. Martin’s Press and Macmillan for seven years.

About The Open Field:

The Open Field, from Maria Shriver, is a publishing imprint with a Mission and a Purpose to publish bestselling and award-winning books that rise above the noise and move humanity forward. We publish the thoughts, words, and ideas of writers who inspire us to live our wildly authentic and deeply meaningful lives in the open field. We’ll meet you there.

Fun facts about me:

Cassidy is also a sketch comedy writer, and former Maude writer at Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater.

Outside of work Cassidy enjoys curling up with a romance novel and a cup of tea, birding, volunteering for climate action, studying Korean and Italian, searching for the perfect gluten-free coffee cake, traveling, and fangirling over BTS.
