Dina Davis (she/her) is an editor at Hanover Square Press who started her publishing career in journalism at amNewYork, Good Housekeeping, and Guideposts, before transitioning to book publishing in 2012 when she joined the Guideposts Books team to work on nonfiction and cozy mysteries. Since 2015, she’s been an editor at various HarperCollins imprints, including Love Inspired, MIRA Books, and now Hanover Square Press. Dina acquires high concept upmarket and commercial fiction and nonfiction. For fiction, she’s interested in a wide range of categories, including fantasy, suspense, mystery, horror, light science fiction, feel-good fiction, and speculative. Dina loves a novel that pulls her in with the voice and makes her stay for the strong characters, complex relationships, and a stand-out plot. For nonfiction, she’s looking for journalism, sociology, memoir, pop science, and pop culture books. Some authors Dina has worked with include Jeneva Rose, Rosália Rodrigo, Hannah Mary McKinnon, Frances White, Allison Brennan, E.M. Anderson, Mike Chen, A.S. Webb, and Katie Garner.
Fun facts about me:
While studying at New York University to earn a bachelor’s degree in journalism and sociology, I spent my freshman year abroad in Florence, Italy, where I met my husband. I love traveling, visiting family in Pittsburgh, cheering on the Steelers, watching television dramas, and going to brunch with my friends.
