Adult Nonfiction: History

My PhD is in history, and I’m eager to work with mainstream book ideas in history on a variety of topics! Some areas of particular interest to me are:
- Anything feminist history and/or deep-dive into women: martial, social, scientific, political, weird interest, humor, and other themes — I’ve got broad-ranging interests here and would love some fun projects that wrap around an accessible, mainstream hook but don’t shy away from excellent scholarship. Esoteric topics welcome when presented in a mainstream way!
- Classical, Medieval, and Early Modern history: these are the areas my own academic background is in, and I’d love to see some projects in these areas that bring elements of earlier life or history to life for a mainstream audience be that through a deep dive into a specific topic or through a more general survey of a time period, place, or theme.
- Intersections of literature and history: Do you have an interesting book idea on books, literature, or writing of the past? That’s also something I’d love to see! I’m also keenly interested in areas where literature and power structures intersect.
