I’m seeking fun-forward contemporary fiction, swoon-worthy romance of all kinds, crossover romance; mystery, and speculative fiction featuring compelling and clever protagonists, and discussable stories that introduce readers to underrepresented communities and traditions.

I’m orienting my list toward the #BookTok space, and am looking for stories that take big swings, featuring unforgettable characters that will elicit “ohmygosh!!!” reactions from readers. I want jaw-dropping, eyebrow raising, laugh-until-your-abs hurt, or *brbsobbing* stories. I am chronically online.

I love “traveling” through literature, and am seeking stories that take place off the beaten path, introduce me to niche subcultures, and have a strong, atmospheric sense of place. I love to read about food and music, and love mouth-watering descriptions of parties, proms, balls, feasts and special occasions. I believe in magic.

I am drawn to flawed characters who have a keen self-awareness and a healthy sense of humor. I’d love to read a fish-out-of-water story, and enjoy critical observations about class, wealth and regional difference. I love snark and a cutting wit. I love deep, complicated friendships.

I will not shy away from blush-inducing spice, as long as it’s grounded in character and feels safe!

I live in Tennessee, so give me a book that makes me say, “Bless her heart!” I’d love a romance that feels like a Dolly Parton song.

I’m not the right person for: historical fiction, political or international thrillers, police procedurals, or essay collections.
