Hi! I’m Ali. I’ve been acquiring and editing speculative fiction and humorous nonfiction at Tor Publishing Group since 2016. I’m a huge fan of comedic voices in both fiction and nonfiction, so please send me the manuscripts that make you laugh! I also love to see submissions from marginalized, BIPOC, and queer/LGBTQIA2S+ writers.

In fiction, I’m interested in commercial speculative stories with off-the-charts character chemistry, original world-building, and opinionated voices. I love genre-bending and genre-blending stories. I’m open to pretty much anything cool, but my current wish list includes fresh takes on LitRPG, cozy fantasy, witches/tangible spellcraft, possession, and rivals-, enemies-, or besties-to-lovers. I’m into romance of all spice levels and I’m eager to see more gender and body diversity in all genres. In nonfiction, I’m interested in work from comedians and humorists. I love niche cultural explorations with heart.
