Annie Stone

Annie Stone is now the acquisitions editor for The Collaborative at Alloy Entertainment, an editorial-intensive program for authors in search of representation or for agents who would like to partner with Alloy on shaping a particular client manuscript before submitting. Acquired projects will be shaped by The Collaborative and the author together before determining the next steps for publication. This is a great opportunity for authors to work with the company that created Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and many more.

Annie is particularly looking for high-concept young adult novels with light fantasy, sci-fi, or magical realism elements; voice-driven YA contemporary novels; voice-y high concept middle grade, action-adventure middle grade series in all genres, well-written adult fiction with a commercial hook, or anything at all that feels fresh, commercial, and compelling in the context of the greater marketplace. Some of her recent favorites include The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski; Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple; Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo; Early Decision by Lacy Crawford; and Noggin by John Corey Whaley.
