Becky Kopitzke

Hello, I’m Becky Kopitzke, Associate Agent with Tracie Miles Literary, where I represent all of our fiction clients, including adult, young adult, and middle grade authors. We primarily serve the Christian publishing market. If you’ve written a story with heart—one that leaves readers better than it found them—I’d love to hear about it.

I’m the traditionally published author of five nonfiction books in the Christian living space, including The SuperMom Myth and The College Mom Devotional (coming summer 2027). I’ve also spent years as a blogger, podcaster, speaker, and I’ve been a three-time guest on Focus on the Family’s daily broadcast. I know what it feels like to send a proposal into the void and wait. I know the thrill of holding your book for the first time, and the not-so-glamorous work that comes after. That lived experience shapes how I advocate for my authors: with professional clarity and a whole lot of empathy.

Beyond my own writing, I serve as a business instructor and marketing strategist for the Author Conservatory, and I co-run AuthorRise Academy alongside Tracie Miles. Coaching Christian writers and ministry leaders toward sustainable, God-honoring careers is some of my favorite work on earth. Digital marketing is my happy place, which means I think about your book not just as a story, but as a career—platform, positioning, and the long game.

I’m looking for fiction that carries light, including not just overtly faith-based stories but also uplifting novels where Christian values live in the bones of the book rather than on the surface—stories that fit the mainstream market but still honor God with their content. Give me characters I’ll miss when the last page turns, a story that earns its hope, and a voice only you could have written. I’m not interested in representing a project simply because it fits a trend. I want stories I believe the world genuinely needs.

My favorite genres are rom-com/romance (no spice), historical fiction, contemporary fiction, and suspense. For YA/middle grade—magical realism, adventure, and cozy fantasy is also worth a look. I’m not currently interested in epic fantasy or graphic horror. 

When I’m not working in my home office in northeast Wisconsin, you’ll find me spending as much time as possible with my husband Chad, our two beautiful daughters (one at home, one in college), and our fluffy mini Goldendoodle who absorbs all my extra maternal energy. I love Jesus, my family, all dogs everywhere, and Keto chocolate. I’m on a mission to find the fun in every season—and honestly, few things are more fun than telling an author their story just found a home.

Submission Guidelines

1. You must submit a full book proposal. Without all the components, the book idea cannot be given full consideration. Please do not submit a query letter and manuscript or sample chapters without a full book proposal, as that will not be accepted or reviewed.
2. To make sure your proposal is ready to submit, please take a moment to review the free Book Proposal Checklist on our submission guidelines webpage: https://traciemilesliterary.com. Do your research about how to complete each section or check out Tracie’s Author Coaching Services for book proposal development, if desired.
3. Your platform is essential. We may consider a fiction author without a substantial platform is the book is dynamite. But a platform always helps. Please include any or all social media numbers, email subscribers, Substack followers (free and paid), podcast downloads, blog stats, engagement stats, audience reach in other ways, etc., as well as your ideas for marketing.
4. We all only get one chance to make a first impression! Your proposal is your first writing sample and introduction of you, your credentials and your book idea. Therefore, it’s important to submit the most solid, clean and impressive example of your writing style and a thorough explanation of your book concept, your unique spin on your topic and why the book is needed in today’s literary market.
