My Manuscript Wish List®
Hello! I’m an assistant editor born and raised in the Dominican Republic. I joined Tor Publishing Group in 2022 and I’m thrilled to continue building my list. I’ve co-edited some titles alongside Executive Editor Ali Fisher, including the Spellshop series by Sarah Beth Durst, Never the Roses by Jennifer K. Lambert, and more.
I’m actively seeking work by authors from underrepresented backgrounds, especially those with Hispanic heritage.
TOR AND TORDOTCOM: I’m looking for speculative fiction set in worlds worthy of admiration in and of itself: overflowingly verdant, beautiful and truly magical. I love dark, gritty stories with gothic elements, true found families and dystopias that are unsettling by nature. I appreciate a book that is tender but still addresses themes of social relevance, court intrigue and political scheming, stories that transcend genre, academia, and commercial storytelling that is Too Smart For Its Own GoodTM. Pet companions are a plus!Â
BRAMBLE: For romantic fantasy/romantasy, I can do the entire spectrum: from wholesome cozy to heart-wrenching, all beautifully weaved into everything mentioned above. For contemporary and paranormal romance, I’m looking for disgustingly sweet, giggle-provoking love stories that are inherently funny. I enjoy a good historical romance with a touch of Jane Austen humor made modern. For all, I want messy people falling badly, whatever Kaz Brekker and Inej Ghafa have, The Slowest of Burns, and yearning, so, so much yearning.Â
Note: For YA, I’m only acquiring fiction with speculative elements.
Fun facts about me:
I’ve lived in around 22 places. Contrary to popular believe, though, I’m not well travelled: all these moves took place within the span of two cities.
