Within the mystery genre, much of my list consists of contemporary cozies with smart, curious protagonists, clever conceits, and a good dash of humor. I’m also eager for darker or more traditional mysteries, especially those that challenge ideas around criminal justice, and feature characters and authors from communities and backgrounds that are underrepresented in the genre.
