Ivanka Dimitrova

I am a Literary Associate with Olswanger Literary and a member of the Association of American Literary Agents. I am seeking commercial fiction and nonfiction with strong voice, memorable characters, compelling hooks, and immersive storytelling.

For fiction, I am drawn to stories with upmarket and commercial appeal. Time-slip fiction, historical fiction, romance or fantasy, and novels that blend the past and present in inventive ways are especially welcome.

For nonfiction, I am looking for compelling narrative-driven projects that illuminate history, culture, creativity, and the human experience. I am especially interested in books about authors, literary places, archeology, ancient history, homes and gardens, literary travel, and distinctive lifestyle or gift projects with a strong literary or art connection.

I am fond of cozy reads, atmospheric settings, and satisfying, preferably happy endings.

Please note that I do not represent children’s literature, new adult, young adult, graphic novels, short stories, screenplays, horror, erotica, or science fiction. I am also not the right agent for stories of DV, SA, and children or animals dying. I am also not looking for zombies, warewolves, or vampires at this time, but would love to read timeslip, dual timeline, or historical fiction about witches grounded in the real world.
