My Manuscript Wish ListJordy Albert is a Literary Agent and co-founder of The Booker Albert Literary Agency. She holds a B.A. in English from Pennsylvania State University, and a M.A. from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. Jordy is looking for young adult contemporary, sci-fi, and fantasy. She’s also looking for smart, fun contemporary and historical romance. She’s drawn to strong, intelligent characters, and well-developed friendships, and found families. Please note that while it isn’t necessarily a deal breaker, she tends to shy away from novels with trigger topics, such as suicide and any type of abuse. I’m always on the lookout for submissions that will keep me up all night, with wonderful characters, and settings that I don’t want to leave. My favorites include…Some of my favorite books are: Anything by Karen Marie Moning, To Kill A Mockingbird, and Utopia. I’ve also been reading a lot of manga recently-Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, My Hero Academia, and Black Clover. Movies that I can watch over and over again: The Princess Bride, The Neverending Story, Goonies, Spirited Away, and The Shawshank Redemption. TV: Recently I’ve been binging anime when I’m not reading or playing with my dog. I LOVE One Piece, Black Clover, Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, Dr. Stone, and Demon Slayer to name a few.
