I work as an assistant editor to Stacy Abrams at Entangled Publishing. We’re looking for a wide variety of YA and adult manuscripts that have a strong focus on romance. We love contemporary, fantasy, sci-fi, and romantic comedies. If you can comp your book or voice to Jennifer E. Smith or Emery Lord, we’d love to see it.

Some specifics we’d like to see:

• Traveling stories! We love when characters travel anywhere, whether it’s road tripping across the US or backpacking through Europe.
• Sports-themed romances. We have a lot of hockey ones, but would love to see basketball, baseball, and football.
• Pirate stories.
• Cowboy romances. We’d love to see a cowboy version of The Longest Ride, strong chemistry and heat included.
• Boarding school romances. Would love to see classmates falling in love, or students from rival schools developing a romance
• Intriguing mystery/thriller like This is Our Story, with the sweet, sexy romantic subplot.
• Historicals. We LOVE historicals, whether it’s YA or adult. Strong romance a must!
• Vampire books! They’re making a comeback, and we’re here for it.
