Bloomsbury Children's Books

My Manuscript Wish List®

I joined Bloomsbury Children’s Books USA, where I acquire and edit a list of MG and YA novels, in April 2025. Prior to joining Bloomsbury, I worked as a full-time freelance editor (I am currently closed to all new freelance work, but am happy to refer you to one of my many excellent freelance editorial colleagues!).
I have 10 years of experience in book publishing, and have worked at Penguin Random House, Scholastic, Levine Querido, and most recently Inkyard Press/HarperCollins. I’ve been on panels and held craft talks at Kweli Color of Children’s Literature Conference and a variety of SCBWI chapters. Books I’ve edited have been: a Kids’ Indie Next Pick, a B&N Book Club Pick, a PW Best Book of the Year, and have received numerous starred reviews in industry trade journals.
I’m based in Queens, where I was born to a Puerto Rican mother and Irish-American father. For undergrad, I attended Amherst College, and I also hold an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from The New School. When I’m not reading, I can be found jamming out to the pop-punk hits of my childhood (it was never a phase), or cheering on the New York Mets at Citi Field.

Fun facts about me:

I’m half Irish, half Puerto Rican; I’m a native New Yorker;
