Renee is a publishing industry veteran formerly with Harcourt (Brace) and S&S, before becoming a book scout and story analyst for the CW Television network for more than five years, as well as enjoying a few years of writing book reviews for Kirkus and The New York Journal of Books.
With extensive publishing film & television, branding, and licensing, experience, Renee had the great fortune of working with some of the best writers and illustrators in the publishing world, and has created merchandise for iconic favorites: Raggedy Ann and Nancy Drew.
Renee truly enjoy helping writers hone their craft, and I provide developmental editing through Manuscript Academy, and she can be found at various writing conferences and pitch events.
Renee is looking for: Children/YA/Adult Non-fiction, Pop Culture, Narrative, How-To, Business, Prescriptive, Motivational, True Crime. For fiction I prefer YA, and adult thrillers, horror, dark fantasy, humor, romantasy, women’s fiction, and rom-com/chick lit.
Not looking for: previously published books, memoir, erotica, post apocalyptic, terrorism, viruses, animal abuse/death, dark and depressing, poetry, hard sci-fi, space opera, mythical fantasy, picture books, middle grade, poetry, short stories, novellas.

GREAT and entertaining read. I can’t define it, but I’ll know it when I see it because I won’t be able to put it down.
I can tell you it’s NOT post apocalyptic, dark and depressing, fighting to live, climate change flooding the world and subsisting on radioactive water and algae slime. It’s not terrorist, or killing/abusing the dog (or ANY animals). It’s not the same old tropes. It’s not people getting magical powers (unless it’s humor). It’s usually not witches, ghosts and other supernatural creatures– but you might surprise me if you’re creative.
