Renee C. Fountain

Renee is a publishing industry veteran formerly with Harcourt (Brace) and S&S, before becoming a book scout and story analyst for the CW Television network for more than five years, as well as enjoying a few years of writing book reviews for Kirkus and The New York Journal of Books.

With extensive publishing film & television, branding, and licensing, experience, Renee had the great fortune of working with some of the best writers and illustrators in the publishing world, and has created merchandise for iconic favorites: Raggedy Ann and Nancy Drew.

Renee truly enjoy helping writers hone their craft, and I provide developmental editing through Manuscript Academy, and she can be found at various writing conferences and pitch events.

Renee is looking for: Children and Adult Non-fiction, Pop Culture, Narrative, How-To, Business, Prescriptive, Motivational, Memoir, True Crime. For fiction I prefer YA, and adult thrillers, mystery, horror, dark fantasy, magic realism, humor, LGBTQ, women’s fiction, and rom-com

Not looking for: previously published books, erotica, poetry, hard sci-fi, space opera, picture books, middle grade, poetry, short stories, novellas.
